Looking Rightly

I recall the first time I went with my dad to shop for a car. He looked at the car in a different way than I was looking at the car. Where I was concerned with how it looked to me, he was more concerned with how it was built. The make up of the car had greater importance than the paint. I learned to look at cars in the way that was important to my father.

1 Samuel 16:7 CSB

[7] But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the LORD sees, for humans see what is visible, but the LORD sees the heart."
